Introduction
This tutorial explains the procedure for activating and configuring DMARC, using the cPanel plugin provided exclusively by Hostico.
DMARC is an email message authentication protocol that, along with DKIM and SPF, provides additional protection against email spoofing attempts, thus helping to secure web domains.
Requirements
- A valid cPanel account
- SPF and DKIM activation
- An email address named postmaster@domain.com for receiving email delivery reports.
Steps to Follow
- After logging into the cPanel control panel, in the displayed interface, look for the "Hosting Tools" section and select the desired option.

- On the page that will be displayed, select the domain for which you want to activate DMARC, then click on "Modify".

- On the next page, configure the DMARC policy. It is recommended to set the policy to reject to apply strict checks on email traffic and block spam message sending.

The available options are:
- Policy – Policy for handling messages sent from the domain that do not comply with the specified requirements.
- Subdomain Policy – Policy for messages sent from subdomains.
- ASPF – SPF setting verification policy.
- ADKIM – Setting verification policy
