New IP changes for Hostico packages
Hostico introduces free IPv6 for customers, enhancing security and scalability. There are also announcements regarding changes in affiliate taxation and a new call center for efficient support.

Free IPv6
The successor of IPv4, IPv6 has the characteristics and solutions that modern internet needs, improved integrity and security, the ability to support web-capable devices, as well as a high number of IP addresses. IPv6 offers a number of 340 trillion trillion trillion IP addresses (340,282,366,920,938,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000).
This immense range of IPs provides unprecedented scalability but also brings security, making scanning and identifying devices connected to the internet more difficult for attackers. IPv6 can encrypt connections end-to-end, although this option is optional for IPv4 it is not fully utilized. Encryption and integrity verification is a standard component of IPv6, available for all connections thus making "man-in-the-middle" attacks more difficult to carry out.
IPv4 is not compatible with IPv6, so the two protocols cannot communicate. More precisely, an IPv4 internet connection will not be able to access a system with IPv6 and vice versa. Internet providers are offering and will likely continue to offer dual stacks (both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses) for a long time to enable seamless browsing on the internet. As the adoption of IPv6 becomes more widespread, this type of dual connection will probably be gradually phased out.
Hostico is taking a step toward adopting IPv6 and offers IPv6 addresses to all customers, both on shared hosting packages and on VPSs. Due to the large number of IPv6 addresses, each hosting account on both shared hosting and VPS will have its own dedicated IP provided for free by Hostico. To identify the allocated IPv6 address, a plugin has also been created which can be found in cPanel, under the Hosting Tools section named IPv6. The services offered by Hostico (Mail, DNS, Web) will therefore now be available on both IPv4 and IPv6 connections.
Currently, IPv6 is only available on cPanel servers, with plans to implement it on servers with other control panels as support for it is developed.
Affiliation
As of January 1, 2016, the new Fiscal Code came into force, which brings a series of changes regarding the taxation method for the income of individual affiliates. More specifically, the income of individual affiliates falls under the category of "other income" and is taxed at source by applying a rate of 16%. The contributions for CAS (social insurance contribution) and CASS (health insurance contributions) of 5.5% and 10.5% respectively will no longer be withheld by Hostico. In this situation, it is no longer necessary for Hostico to determine the income situation of the affiliate. Unauthorized individual affiliates who frequently (2-3 times/year) earn income by providing marketing services are required to register, in accordance with legal provisions regarding dependent activities.
These changes are detailed on the Affiliate Terms and Conditions page.
Phone switchboard
In order to improve the quality of telephone assistance and establish more efficient communication starting Monday, February 1, customers calling Hostico's phone numbers will be greeted by a telephone exchange. The exchange will allow for a more effective distribution of calls, making the resolution of your requests more prompt. The old telephone numbers will be available for a period, but they are now replaced with the number: 0371784288. For this purpose, we also present the telephone availability of Hostico's support departments:
